In Jesus we have a father who seeks us with an endless love, who bought us and freed us from slavery and gave us eternal life.

Isaiah prophesied that a child would be born of a virgin, and in Mary that prophetic word was fulfilled.

We have all had a father or father figure.

Let’s look at some types of parents

1) The Father is never satisfied: No matter how hard the son tries to do his best, the father is never happy

2) Angry father: He is the one who is about to explode like a bomb, an angry father who strictly enforces law and order.

3) Distant father: He is at home but it is as if he is not, a father who is never there for his children.

4) Absent father: It is the father who leaves or who was never at home either due to separation or divorce

Human beings have a problem: we associate our experience with our earthly father with God, we believe that God is an amplified version of our earthly father or father figure. Even if your father was not the best, the Bible tells us that we have to honor our parents.

The Story of the Prodigal Son – Loving Father.

After his son had squandered his inheritance, and getting up, he came to his father. And while he was still a long way away, his father saw him and was moved with mercy, and he ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the son said to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. But the father said to his servants: Bring out the best garment, and dress him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. And bring the fatted calf and kill it, and let’s eat and have a party. The parents were happy to see their son again, since they already considered him dead, and they returned to the party, but his older brother was angry to see him again, and not only stayed With that, he reproached the father, saying: why was he having a party and killing the calf? But his always loving father told him: “son, everything I have is yours and you have always been with me.”

That father was happy.

The father loves you and wants you to come home because this is the place he has prepared for you, he wants you to eat at his table, the beauty of this story is that Jesus who left heaven to come to earth is that eternal father that you and I have

When Jesus was born he had no place and he had to be born in a manger but there the three wise men from the east arrived and prostrated themselves before the King of Kings, and Lord of lords. Because today a son is born and they will call his name admirable, counselor, strong God, prince of peace, eternal father.

He is the father that you and I have, he cannot be compared to our earthly father, because God is far beyond. The father receives us just as we are, our father has such a great love for us that he receives us with love despite everything. The father that we have, when we cry for help he is there for us, that’s why you and I have a special place at the father’s table.

What can we do today to contemplate the love of God?
Thinking about the great love that God has for us has no end.
God is love, that’s why his love is endless because he has no beginning or end.

God has been good, and he is the loving father that each of us longs to have. Accept his love today and recognize that you need it.

Look how much love our Father loves us, calling us his children, and that is what we are!
