Main Verse: Psalm 24:1

“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world and all who live in it belong to Him.”

Many times, we recognize Jesus as our Savior, but we need to ask ourselves something deeper: Is He also the Lord of every area of our lives?

Salvation reminds us that Christ purchased us with His blood, but His lordship calls us to surrender every area of our lives to Him. It is not only about believing in Him, but learning to live under His direction, obedience, and authority.

EVERYTHING BELONGS TO GOD

Psalm 24:1 reminds us of a fundamental truth: everything belongs to the Lord.

Our life, our time, our talents, our resources, our family, and every opportunity we have are gifts that God has placed in our hands.

We are not absolute owners; we are stewards.

When we understand this, the way we live changes. We stop saying, “This is my life, and I can do whatever I want,” and begin to say: “Lord, my life belongs to You. Show me how to live it for Your glory.”

Furthermore, Christ not only created us; He also redeemed us. He paid a price for us. Therefore, we can gratefully declare:

“I belong to the Lord.”

HIS LORDSHIP REQUIRES FAITHFULNESS

In Matthew 25, we find the parable of the talents. The master entrusted different resources to his servants and later returned to ask them to give an account of what they had done with them.

This teaches us that God does not only look at what we have received, but how we manage what we have received.

What are you doing with the time God has given you?

What are you doing with your talents?

How are you managing your resources?

How are you using the opportunities He places before you?

God does not want us to hide what He has entrusted to us. He desires for us to use it to produce fruit.

Even our finances are part of our spiritual life. The way we manage money can reveal where our heart is.

Therefore, we should not separate our spiritual life from our everyday life. Praying is spiritual, reading the Word is spiritual, but so is properly managing what God has placed in our hands.

WHEN HE IS LORD, HIS POWER WORKS THROUGH US

Mark 16:20 says that the disciples went out to preach and that “the Lord worked through them.”

What a beautiful truth: they obeyed, but God worked through them.

When we stop depending solely on our own strength and submit to the lordship of Christ, we discover that we do not have to face life’s battles alone.

There are situations we cannot solve through our own abilities, intelligence, or resources. But what is impossible for us is not impossible for God.

When Christ is truly our Lord:

• Fear loses its power.
• Anxiety begins to weaken.
• Our purpose becomes clearer.
• We learn to depend on God.
• His power can be revealed through our obedience.

The lordship of Christ is not a burden; it is a key that leads us to true freedom.

REFLECTION

Today, ask yourself honestly:

Is Christ only my Savior, or is He also the Lord of my entire life?

Perhaps there is an area you are still trying to control: your family, your decisions, your finances, your future, your work, your emotions, or a personal dream.

Today, you can surrender it to Him.

You do not need to understand everything God will do. You only need to recognize who the owner is and trust Him.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, today I recognize that You are the Lord of my life. Everything I am and everything I have belongs to You. Forgive me for the areas I have tried to control without considering You. Today, I want to surrender my decisions, my resources, my talents, my time, and my future to You. Teach me to live under Your authority and to be a faithful steward of everything You have entrusted to me. Work in me and through me for Your glory. Help me trust in Your power and not only in my own strength. From this day forward, I declare: You are my Lord and my Savior. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
