The book of Ecclesiastes provides us with an insightful reflection on the constant human search for satisfaction, often stumbling along paths that, although they seem straight, ultimately lead us to disappointment and death, as the Bible wisely warns. Even the renowned King Solomon, renowned for his abundance and prosperity, came to understand that the relentless pursuit of earthly pleasures lacks true meaning and purpose in our lives.

In this context, it is vital to remember that only God can truly satisfy the deepest longings of our hearts. Ultimate satisfaction does not emanate from material goods or the offerings of the world; rather, it arises from the love and grace of God, which fills the deepest voids in our souls. Learning to enjoy what we have in moderation, rather than excessively longing for what we do not possess, is wise advice. Family plays a fundamental role in our lives, and by connecting with God, we find true happiness and fulfillment.

For youth, it is essential to engage in acts of love and service toward the elderly and those facing loneliness and need. By directing our attention toward the needs of others, we find peace and purpose in our lives, freeing ourselves from the stress and anxiety that sometimes overwhelms us.

True joy and fulfillment are found exclusively in God. Pursuing our purpose at work and family, as well as transmitting these values to future generations, are essential aspects of living a life rich in meaning and significance. Although the human heart tends toward selfishness, allowing God to be at the center of our lives transforms our perspective. By worshiping God, we experience a renewal that dissipates sadness and frees us from the chains of this world.

Despite the empty promises the world may offer, we must remember that God’s promises, revealed in the Holy Scriptures, are true and meet our deepest needs. God does not make promises in vain; He has given us His Son, Jesus Christ, and with Him He provides us with everything we require to live a full and meaningful life. Therefore, let us allow God to be the epicenter of our lives, in order to discover the authentic meaning and purpose of our existence.

With affection and faith,
