God Wants to Restore Your Life

Reading Time: 3 Minutes

God’s restoration begins in the heart. When He transforms our inner being, our decisions, attitudes, and entire life change. But if the heart is hardened, we stray from His purpose. Today, we will see how God wants to give us a new heart and the danger of resisting His call.

1. God seeks to restore us not because of our goodness, but because of His goodness.

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
—Ezekiel 36:26

Proverbs 4:23 warns us: “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Our heart is the center of our emotions, thoughts, and will; if it is aligned with God, our decisions will reflect His love and justice.

Unlike humans who judge by appearances, God looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). He does not seek perfection, but willingness. When we surrender our hearts to Him, He fills them with His grace and shapes them according to His will.

2. The danger of a hardened heart

“But Pharaoh hardened his heart and would not listen to them, just as the Lord had said.”
—Exodus 7:13

A hardened heart is one that resists God’s voice. Pharaoh of Egypt is a clear example (Exodus 7:11-13): he saw God’s signs but refused to change.

Paul, in Romans 1:18-32, warns that those who reject God’s truth end up trapped in the darkness of their own sin. And in Daniel 2:4, we see that the arrogance of earthly kingdoms leads them to ruin.

Every time we ignore God’s correction, we risk hardening our hearts. Pride, sin, and unbelief distance us from His love. But there is still hope: God is willing to restore us if we turn back to Him.

3. God promises to purify the hearts and minds of His people (Ezekiel 36:26-29)

God does not just repair what is damaged; He creates something new. In Ezekiel 36:26, He promises us a new heart, sensitive to His voice and guided by His Spirit.

God longs to give you a new heart, full of life and purpose. Do not let sin or pride harden it. Today is the day to surrender to His love and allow Him to transform your life.

Prayer:

Lord, here is my heart. Remove all pride, fear, and hardness within me. Renew me with Your Spirit and help me follow You faithfully. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Sincerely,
Pastor Guillermo Ayala
