God’s Plan

Reading time: 3 minutes

Key Verse: Psalm 24:1
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.”

This verse reminds us that God is the owner and sovereign ruler over all creation. Everything that exists, including nations and people, belongs to Him. When we understand that God holds authority over all things, we realize that His plan for the world is complete, designed with His perfect wisdom and eternal purpose.

1. God’s Sovereignty Over the Nations

Psalm 47:8
“God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne.”

Daniel 4
The testimony of King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4 shows that even the most powerful rulers must submit to God’s sovereignty. Although at times it may seem like nations are out of control, God remains on His throne, guiding history according to His perfect plan.

God governs all nations and is sovereign over everything that happens in the world. Though government decisions and political tensions may concern us, we must remember that God has a greater plan and purpose. He reigns over all, and His justice will prevail.

2. God’s Plan for the Nations

Matthew 28:19
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

God’s plan is for all nations to know His love and receive salvation. This challenges us to step out of our comfort zones and take the gospel to those who have not yet heard. Every nation has a place in God’s redemptive plan, and we are called to actively participate in this mission.

Not only does God rule over the nations, but He also has a redemptive purpose for them. Jesus’ command in Matthew 28 is clear: His plan is for the gospel to reach all peoples. The book of Hosea reminds us that even in times of unfaithfulness, God seeks the reconciliation of His people.

3. Our Role in God’s Plan

2 Corinthians 5:18-19
“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.”

Romans 5:10-11
We have been reconciled to God through Jesus Christ, and now we are called to share this message of reconciliation with others. Our role is to be ambassadors for Christ, bringing a message of hope and peace to the world.

God has given us a role in His great plan: to be ambassadors of His kingdom. As Christians, we must be living examples of God’s love, grace, and truth, both in our words and in our actions. By doing so, we contribute to the advancement of His kingdom in all nations.
