Reading Time: 3 minutes
In times of difficulty, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and hopeless. However, as children of God, we have the assurance that we are never alone. Our help comes from the Almighty, who is always attentive to our needs and willing to provide His aid. Today, we will reflect on His Word and find encouragement to keep moving forward.
1. Our Help Comes from the Almighty
God is our protector and guide, the one who watches over us without rest. In Psalm 121, we find profound security in His constant care:
- Psalm 121: “I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”
- Psalm 118:8: “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.”
- Exodus 3:1-7: In this passage, we see how God hears the cry of His people and reveals Himself to Moses to deliver them. Likewise, God hears our needs and is willing to help us.
Like Moses, we are called to trust fully in God. He promises us His assistance and intervention. When we place our faith in Him, we have the assurance that our help comes from the Creator of the universe.
2. We Must Call on God for His Help
The Lord invites us to call on Him in our moments of distress. We should not hold onto our worries but instead bring them directly to His throne.
- Isaiah 41:10: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
- Jeremiah 33:3: “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”
God is ready to listen when we call on Him. We can present our problems to Him and trust that He will answer. We are not alone, and His promise of help is certain.
3. Ask God for Help
When we face difficult situations, we can come before God with humility, recognizing our need for His intervention. Nehemiah was a man who understood the importance of seeking God’s help to face challenges.
- Nehemiah 1:6: “Please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants.”
Nehemiah teaches us to cry out to God with a humble and repentant heart. By doing so, we can be certain that God not only hears but also acts. His ear is attentive to our pleas, and His response is never delayed.
