- Transforming work of the Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit works in our lives guiding us, teaching us, and enabling us to produce fruit. His desire is for us to grow in all areas, and in this process of spiritual growth, He intercedes for us (Romans 8:26-27; John 14:26). - Vital connection to bear fruits of the Spirit:
John 15:4 teaches us that by not being connected to the source of life, we begin to wither. It is essential to remain united to the body of Christ in order to bear fruits of the Spirit. The first fruit that He produces in us is love (John 15:4; Galatians 5:22-26). - Agape love in action:
Agape love is characterized as love in action, as described in 1 Corinthians 13. This type of love involves affection, good will, and benevolence, and is always demonstrated through our actions. By committing ourselves to God, we follow the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, who made the most important decision on the cross (Romans 5:8). - The fruits of the Spirit go beyond feelings:
It is important to remember that the fruits of the Spirit go beyond feelings. Feelings can be volatile and treacherous, so we should not put our trust in them. Rather, we are to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit in our lives, as we are reminded in Galatians 5:22-26 and Ephesians 4:30.
