Reading time: 3 minutes
Based on Matthew 1:21 and John 3:16
The birth of Jesus is the greatest act of love and redemption humanity has ever received. His mission was clear from the beginning: to save us from our sins and give us eternal life.
“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”
(Matthew 1:21)
1. Jesus loves us unconditionally
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
(John 3:16)
The love of Jesus does not depend on our actions, merits, or achievements. He came into the world with one mission: to redeem us, even while we were sinners. His love transcends our imperfections and gives us hope for a new life. Take time today to meditate on this love, which has no limits or conditions—a love that embraces you just as you are.
Reflection: How are you responding to Jesus’ unconditional love in your daily life?
2. God gave first; He is our example to follow
God did not wait for us to be perfect or deserving of His love; He gave His Son as the ultimate demonstration of His sacrifice and generosity. Just as He gave first, we are called to give love, grace, and forgiveness to others. Living as children of God means reflecting this generous spirit in our relationships.
3. Believing means placing our trust in Him
Salvation is not about our human efforts but about fully trusting in Jesus as our Savior. He is the only one who can give us eternal life and reconcile us with the Father. Believing in Him means acknowledging our need for His grace and walking in faith every day.
Reflection: Are there areas in your life where you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus?
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for coming into the world as my Savior. Help me to remember Your unconditional love every day and to follow the example of generosity set by Your Father. Teach me to trust fully in You, knowing that You are the only way to eternal life. Amen.
Sincerely,
Pastor Guillermo Ayala
