1. Seek Him Through the Study of His Word

Key Verse: Amos 5:4
For this is what the Lord says to the house of Israel: ‘Seek me and live.
The first step in understanding what God will do through His church is to seek Him through His Word. In it, we find direction, wisdom, and promises for our lives and the mission of the church. In 2025, let us take time to delve into the Scriptures, allowing them to transform our minds and hearts.

2. Seek Him Through Prayer, Fasting, and Worship

Key Verse: Matthew 6:5-21
Prayer is direct communication with God, fasting helps us focus our soul and spirit, and worship brings us into His presence. This year, as a church, we must dedicate time to intentionally seek God through these spiritual disciplines. Through them, God will reveal His purpose for our lives and His work in this season.

3. Listen to His Voice and Obey Him

Key Verses: Matthew 22:37-40, Matthew 28:20
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. (Matthew 22:37)
God speaks to us through His Word, His Spirit, and circumstances. Listening to His voice means loving Him with all our being and obeying His Great Commission. In 2025, as a church, we must be attentive to His voice to follow His commandments and fulfill our mission: to make disciples of all nations.

How can you sharpen your spiritual ears to hear God’s voice more clearly?

This year, God desires to do great things through His church. Our role is to seek Him wholeheartedly, remain in communion with Him, and obey His direction. As we study His Word, pray, fast, and listen to His voice, we will see His mighty hand working in our lives and in our community.
